The knife is pretty much as expected. I admit it is bigger than I realized but that isn’t the knifes fault. As a police officer I need a dependable knife and this one will fit he bill.

I’ve worked in emergency services since 1977 as a firefighter and medic. As a knife collector, but more importantly a knife user I can tell you this is the perfect all around knife and tool for emergency workers. You can tell tihs knife was designed for firefighters by a firefighter. Finally a knife that can be easily opened one handed with the heaviest of structural fire gloces - about time! And the locking mechanism is one of the safest and strongest(and safest) I’ve seen.

The Hinderer is a heavy duty, large knife. While you probably won’t want to carry it at all times (unless you’re an EMT or fireman), it’s a solid tool. Just one word of warning…the seatbelt cutter is razor sharp and unguarded (one bloody finger later)! Accessory took kit is a nice touch. I keep mine in the center console of my Xterra.
