Pretty self explanatory in that cars, telegraph and the telephone helped tremendously.

The telegraph was a big help, especially for ship to shore communications. This increased shipping safety on the high seas and thus profits improved and markets were opened for U.S. manufacturers.

I would also argue that the invention of the automated elevator helped with manufacturing as well as building Urban center like New York and such. With the elevator they could build bigger and taller housing and business projects that would use up much less land.

This brought many more skilled workers in from the rural areas and thus the improvement.

Pretty much what the first answerer said. We just got off the Industrial Revolution this past Tuesday. The steam engine, steam boat, and steam locomotive helped tremendously….The locomotive allowed large amounts of goods to be transported vast distances.
